Dementia, Delirium, or Something Else: Highlighting the Range of Cognitive Disorders

Because delirium and dementia present with signs and symptoms that are similar and often overlaid, it is vital for the practitioner to understand the diagnostic distinction between the two, which have differing prognoses and treatment approaches. This session will discuss these two cognitive disorders and their respective management, as well as describe some of the underlying etiologies which may trigger their onset.
